We met the owner of Bear Valley Tactical at this past SHOT SHOW and had the opportunity to learn more about their BV-TAC 8 Multitool. Impressed on the surface by what we saw, the owner was kind enough to send one over to our team to put it through a solid test and evaluation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So who are these guys? They are located in small town America in Utah and create high-quality, hand-made, multi-faceted tools that are perfect for tactical, survival, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. We received the\u00a0coyote tan BV-Tac 8<\/a> multi-tool which combines eight necessary outdoor tools into one.<\/p>\n

The BV-Tac 8 is constructed from S7 tool steel for strength and durability. It is then heat-treated and tempered for even more strength, then coated in Cerakote for a durable, rust, abrasion, and heat resistant finish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The BV-Tac 8 offers a variety of available attachments making it a great choice for backpackers, adventurers, off-road enthusiasts, to the prepping community.\u00a0 <\/span>The one thing we immediately saw with this, is that it is a small perfect addition to your vehicle bug out bag.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The hammer end if perfect for staking down a tent or hammock. Use the ax end for splitting firewood at camp, comes with pry bar as well as a Hydrant-Spanner wrench.\u00a0 <\/span>As a career firefighter, I can see this as a great addition to small local volunteer fire department with a small budget. They really put a lot of thought into this multitool and if this all wasn\u2019t enough they added a shovel attachment that reminded me of the old E-Tools in the Marine Corps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are an absolute proponent of AMERICA made and we can assure you this product is 100% American-made!<\/p>\n

As the BV-Tac 8 tool incorporates multiple different-sized, and multi-use wrenches, a hammer, axe, pry bar, and gas turnoff into a single tool, the handle is wrapped with paracord that added additional uses. We split several small logs, split wood for kindling, threw it against a tree several times and it stood up just fine. \u00a0Although we were not able to pry a door open, the wife frowned on this idea, we did use the <\/span>shovel and although small as it is, dug holes just fine.<\/p>\n

Over all, we found this to be an excellent product, well made and worthy of the $199 dollar price point.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
